
Joining Professor Rutherford are Dr. Stanton Belford, Associate Professor & Program Coordinator, Biology, and Dr. Ken Vickers, History Professor and Coordinator of the History Program.
Professor Bill Rutherford began his career at then Martin College as an assistant professor of history. Through the years he has held a variety of other positions here as well, including Vice-President and Dean of Admissions, Chair of the Social Sciences Division, and founding Director of the W. Garie Taylor Honors Program. He was active in the creation and curricular development the Behavioral Sciences, Criminal Justice, and History programs on campus. He has served students as the coordinator of the Irish-American Scholars Program and the annual Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature convention. He has lead international study tours to England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Sweden, Mexico, New York City, and Washington, DC. Following the completion of the Master Gardener Program he serves as a campus volunteer on a part-time basis.
