UT Southern sends amazing student to the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees.
Upon the nomination by Chancellor Mark La Branche, the University of Tennessee Southern Faculty Senate, Academic Council, and the recommendation of University of Tennessee System President Randy Boyd, Hayden Galloway was put forward to the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees for appointment as Student Member for the 2022-23 academic year. The UT Board confirmed the recommendation by a unanimous vote at its Executive Board Meeting on Friday, May 6.
Hayden has served with distinction as the President of the UT Southern Student Government Association. She has provided excellent leadership in our first year as the University of Tennessee Southern. Hayden has maintained a 3.87 GPA in her premed studies, and is a member of our national championship women’s soccer team.
Hayden is from Lawrenceburg, TN, and has five brothers and sisters. She credits her involvement in 4-H programs for her desire to lead and the capacity to do so. She plans to complete her studies at UT Southern and attend the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for medical school in the future.
