The University of Tennessee Southern proudly announces a major milestone as its Turner Center is chosen as a recipient of funding from LaunchTN’s Community Partnership Program (CPP) Cohort 2. This endorsement further strengthens LaunchTN’s mission to position Tennessee as the premier hub for burgeoning startups.
LaunchTN, committed to nurturing and advancing Tennessee’s startup ecosystem, has designated a total of $196,400 for 21 Tennessee organizations and $94,250 of that has been earmarked for seven projects in Southern Middle Tennessee, including the Turner Center.
This investment underscores the role of the Turner Center in driving entrepreneurship in the south-central Tennessee region with this selection demonstrating a focus on supporting activities in this part of the state. The Turner Center will provide a new guidebook for the UT Southern Business Mentoring Network Program and a Regional Summit Train-the-Trainer opportunity for economic development leaders across Southern Middle Tennessee. The Summit will take place in mid-November on the campus of UT Southern. Invitations and more information to follow.
The resounding success of CPP Cohort 1, which left an indelible mark on 28 Tennessee counties, providing invaluable support to over 1,500 entrepreneurs and disbursing $69,750 earlier this year, augments expectations for Cohort 2. Tennessee’s entrepreneurial landscape is poised for yet another wave of innovation and growth.
