UT Southern is committed to ensuring the safety and security of its campus community. To further enhance our preparedness and response measures in the unlikely event of an emergency, UT Southern will be conducting a Campus Wide Active Shooter Drill on October 9th, 2023, commencing at 10:00 a.m.
The primary objective of this crucial exercise is to bolster our ability to respond effectively in emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of our campus community and the surrounding areas. This drill will involve the active participation of first responders, working in collaboration to secure the campus and its vicinity throughout the duration of the event.
In our continuous effort to maintain transparency and keep our community well-informed, we are sharing this information to prevent any undue concern or alarm. We anticipate that the drill will conclude within an hour, and we appreciate the cooperation and understanding of our community during this vital safety initiative.
