Where: A walk “up the hill” from our campus green to the gym.
Inspired by a tradition from our friends in Knoxville, UT Southern hosts its third annual Hike the Hill event, a walk up the hill, beginning at Martin Hall. Walk up the hill to the gym and bring awareness to sexual assault and how we can prevent it at UT Southern.
On the same day, before our Hike the Hill event, UT Southern brings a special production of The Yellow Dress to campus. The Yellow Dress is a powerful, one woman play that stimulates thought-provoking discussions about relationships and helps viewers identify the warning signs of abusive behaviors, understand the unique aspects of dating violence, and how to help friends and family members who may be in abusive relationships. Both events are free of charge. Join students, faculty, staff, and community members as they raise awareness about sexual assault.
