Angeline Morris Assistant Professor of English

Biography
Dr. Morris is assistant professor of English at the University of Tennessee Southern. Her research interests include early modern theories of kingship and queenship, gender studies, theater history, and performance studies. In addition to her scholarly work, she also works as a dramaturg, most recently for the Alabama Shakespeare Project’s 2023-2024 season, “‘Prop’-aganda,” which centered on depictions of kingship and queenship in early modern English and Italian dramatic texts.
