Biography
Laura Morefield is currently an Instructor of Human Performance and Physical Education (HPPE) at University of Tennessee Southern. She began her career in academics as an undergraduate student at Martin Methodist College where she received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with emphasis in Fitness Management. Upon completion of her undergraduate program, Mrs. Morefield began graduate work at Tennessee Technological University where she obtained a Master of Arts in Exercise Science, Physical Education, and Wellness with an emphasis in Lifetime Wellness. She is also a certified CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor with the American Red Cross.
Professionally, Mrs. Morefield has been attending Tennessee Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance conventions since she was an undergraduate student and has become more involved with the organization by presenting at convention and serving on the TAHPERD Board. She has served as President of the organization, Vice President for the General Division, and has served as a section chair for Dance in the Physical Education Division.
Personally, Mrs. Morefield loves to read (if you’ve read something wonderful lately, send her a recommendation!), spend time with her husband, son, two dogs, and friends.
