Biography

As a first-generation graduate, Dr. Jim Greene P.E. currently serves on the board of directors at the Bank of Frankewing. Before moving into academia, he was president and owner of Richland, LLC for 15 years. Under his leadership, INC Magazine recognized the company as one of the “5000 Fastest Growing Companies” in the nation for five consecutive years. During this time, he also received recognition from Engineering News-Record (ENR) Southeast which labeled him as one of the 20 individuals under the age of 40 who represents the “Best of the Best” in Engineering and Construction.

  • 2024: The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Good Scout Award (GSA) is an annual award that recognizes individuals who embody the BSA’s ideals, as expressed in the Scout Law and Oath. Recipients are chosen for their: Leadership in worthy organizations, Outstanding community service, and Respect and esteem from their colleagues.
  • 2014: The Jack C. Massey Distinguished Alumni of the Year at Belmont University.
  • 2011: Engineering News Record (ENR) Recognized as a “Top 20 under 40”. A list of the 20 individuals under the age of 40 who represent the “Best of the Best” in their construction and design careers and for what they have given back to the industry.
  • 2008: Citizen of the Week. The Pulaski Citizen recognizes a Giles County resident for their service and dedication to improving the community. Recognized for efforts in education in the engineering and technical fields.
