PULASKI, TN – The University of Tennessee Southern is welcoming students back to campus for the Fall 2025 semester with Firehawk Welcome Week, August 16–19. The week features a variety of events and activities to help new and returning students connect, get involved, and start the year off strong.
A highlight of the week will be a community-wide fireworks celebration on Tuesday, August 19, at 7:00 PM on the Campus Green. This free event, open to the public, will feature live music, and an opportunity for Pulaski residents to join UT Southern students, faculty, and staff in celebrating the start of the academic year.
“This will be my first Firehawk Welcome Week as Chancellor, and I’m excited to experience it alongside our students and community,” said UT Southern Chancellor Melinda Arnold, PhD. “Events like this demonstrate the vibrant connection between UT Southern and Pulaski, and I look forward to building on that strong relationship in the years ahead.”
Families and friends are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy this festive evening together.
