Visit focused on campus culture, safety, and regional workforce partnerships

University of Tennessee System President Randy Boyd visited the University of Tennessee Southern campus on Wednesday, meeting with senior leadership and engaging with campus and community partners.

During his visit, Boyd emphasized the importance of workplace culture and campus safety, identifying both as top priorities across the UT System. Conversations throughout the day reflected strong Firehawk pride and a shared commitment to continuous improvement.

In addition to campus meetings, Boyd spent time in Pulaski connecting with regional partners and learning more about initiatives that are expanding opportunity across southern Middle Tennessee.

He visited the NOVA Entrepreneurial Center, where students and community members are supported through mentorship, resources and hands-on opportunities to bring ideas to life. Boyd also highlighted the university’s partnership with TCAT Pulaski, which is helping strengthen workforce pathways and support regional economic growth.

The visit highlights UT Southern’s continued role as a driver of opportunity in the region and reflects ongoing alignment with UT System priorities which are focused on student success, community engagement and workforce development.
