PULASKI, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee Southern proudly announces a record-breaking year in philanthropy, with $2.6 million in new gifts and commitments secured during fiscal year 2025—its highest annual fundraising total to date. This milestone reflects the growing confidence of donors in the mission, momentum, and future of UT Southern as part of the UT System’s ambitious decade of transformation.
The achievement contributes to the historic $492.8 million raised systemwide by the University of Tennessee Foundation this year, marking the most successful fundraising year in UT history. As the newest campus in the UT System, UT Southern’s contribution underscores the remarkable progress being made in southern Middle Tennessee through collective belief in the power of accessible, high-quality education.
“This is a powerful vote of confidence in our students, our mission, and the exciting future we are building together,” said Melinda Arnold, PhD, UT Southern Chancellor. “UT Southern is on the rise, and this level of generosity fuels our upward trajectory—allowing us to expand our impact, grow our campus, and serve even more students in meaningful ways.”
Gifts to UT Southern this year have supported student scholarships, academic program development, facility improvements, and initiatives that enhance the personalized student experience that defines the Pulaski-based campus. The continued generosity of donors, alumni, and friends is helping to expand access and open doors for a new generation of students.
This success is also a reflection of the dedicated efforts of the UT Southern Advancement team, led by Vice Chancellor for Advancement Evan Beech. Their tireless work is fueling lasting impact—strengthening lives, opportunities, and the broader community UT Southern serves.
The UT Foundation has now raised 70% of its $3 billion goal for the decade, and UT Southern is poised to play an increasingly important role in this momentum.
As the University of Tennessee System continues its trajectory toward the greatest fundraising decade in its history, UT Southern stands ready to build on this year’s success—fueling progress and deepening impact across Tennessee.
