Work Orders

Students and staff may submit a work order for maintenance or housekeeping concerns by completing the work order form linked below.

Book a Meeting Space

To book a meeting space on campus, faculty and staff can easily do so directly in MS Outlook when creating a meeting invite. Simply type the desired meeting space in the location box. If it’s available, your space will be automatically reserved. Be sure the suggested location includes “UTS” in the result to ensure you are booking a space on our campus.

Class schedules will always take priority so if you are booking well in advance, please note your location may not be available next semester.

Note: Due to this streamlining, you no longer need to contact Carrie Barlar to book your space. If you require any setup or promotion of your event, please complete our event form below.

Setup and Promotion of Your Event

After you have booked your meeting space in Outlook, let us know if you need your event promoted or if you will need any set-up requirements.

Do you need tables and chairs? Do you have any audio/visual needs? Do you want the public to know about it? If yes please follow these simple steps:

  1. Book your event in MS Outlook and select your meeting location.
  2. Then visit our events link to let us know what you may need (SSO sign-on needed).
  3. Sign in with your UT Southern email address and password. Accept the Duo push notification if prompted
  4. Click “Request Service”
  5. Fill out all of the required fields and click “Submit.”

In order to be included on the website events calendar, it must include student involvement or be open to the community:

  • Events organized by student organizations or departments where students are directly involved as participants, organizers or key contributors.
  • The focus should be on special, one-time events such as conferences, exhibitions, guest speakers or performances.
  • The event is open to the broader community/public and not limited to internal organizations, colleges, or departments on campus.
  • Event is not a regularly scheduled reoccurring meeting.
    • Reoccurring meetings such as weekly departmental meetings,  committee meetings, rehearsals or other class-related sessions can be shared on a SharePoint calendar.

Important note for events with minors: If you are planning an on-campus event that includes minors, it is your responsibility to notify campus security. Please review our Programs for Minors informational page for essential guidelines and requirements.
