The University of Tennessee Southern Campus Safety & Security will host an active threat drill on campus on October 9th at 10:00 a.m. to ensure our community is prepared to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency.
The drill will involve testing our emergency notification system, and campus response. During the drill, emergency vehicles and law enforcement first-responders will be seen on campus.
We want to assure the community that this is strictly a drill. Emergency personnel are part of the planned training exercise, and there is no cause for alarm.
This drill is a proactive measure to ensure our emergency response protocols, and local agency coordination are effective.
