Sherry Philpot, M.B.A. Instructor & Program Coordinator, Accounting

Sherry Philpot is the Program Coordinator and Instructor of Accounting at the D.W. Johnston School of Business at the University of Tennessee, Southern.

Sherry is a seasoned accountant with over two decades of experience in public and private Accounting. Her expertise spans various accounting disciplines, including financial reporting, auditing, and tax preparation.

Sherry’s career started in 2001 when she earned her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of North Alabama.  Right out of college, she went to work for a small CPA firm where she was exposed to all areas of accounting.  Most recently, Sherry spent 15 years as the Regional Accountant for the South Central Region of NHC Healthcare.  While there, she helped the Region achieve the prestigious Tennessee Centers for Performance Excellence Level 4 Award.
