Firehawk Wellness Wednesday Workshops: Sexual Assault and Abusive Relationships-Community Awareness and Help

What role does alcohol play in sexual violence? What are the classic signs of a toxic and abusive relationship? These can be very difficult and sensitive issues to deal with, especially alone. Come learn about critical issues that surround sexual assault, such as sexual consent and the how alcohol intoxication is often premeditated by perpetrators. We will discuss the characteristics of healthy intimate relationships in contrast to those that clearly send a pattern of unsafe, red flags or signals of abuse. We will highlight basic knowledge, local resources, and services available for survivors.
