R Michael Cathey, Ph.D. Associate Professor, Human Performance & Physical Education

Biography

Dr. Cathey received his B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Physical Education in 2003; he earned an M.A. from Tennessee Tech University in 2007 and his Ph.D. in Physical Education Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina in 2010. He taught and coached in public schools in Tennessee for five years. In 2017, he joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee Southern.
