Our Mission
In Humanities and Social Sciences, our mission is to nurture inquiry, imagination, and innovation. Through building durable skills, we prepare students to contribute locally and globally as creators, critical thinkers, and engaged citizens.
Degrees Offered
Bachelor of Arts or Science in Behavioral Sciences
Many students feel called to work in the helping professions, including human services, psychology, and social work. However, a degree in behavioral sciences also opens doors in business, education, and criminal justice.
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in History
Whether you’re intrigued by the intricacies of ancient cultures or the transformative events of the 20th century, our History program offers a rich tapestry of learning experiences. Our courses span from in-depth examinations of U.S. history to explorations of global civilizations, ensuring you gain a comprehensive view of humanity’s collective story.
Bachelor of Arts or Science in Philosophy & Religious Studies
Pursue your creative potential through UT Southern’s Fine Arts program, where classroom learning connects with meaningful artistic experiences. Students build confidence, technical skill, and a deeper understanding of the arts while preparing for dynamic careers and lifelong creative pursuits. The Bachelor of Fine Arts offers focused study in Art, Dramatic Arts or Music.
Bachelor of Arts in English
Led by program coordinator Matthew Harrington, the BA in English offers concentrations in Literature, Licensure in Grades 6-12, Writing & Language, and TESOL.
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts
