The Department of Criminal Justice includes undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security and a graduate degree in Homeland Security.
The Department also houses the online pathway for Practitioners, the SHIELD (Service, Honor, Integrity, Education, Leadership Development) Program. This program is an online, asynchronous variant of the traditional undergraduate programs designed for working practitioners in the field.

Online Bachelor of Science, SHIELD Program
The UT Southern SHIELD Program is an online pathway for active practitioners in Criminal Justice or Homeland Security to pursue their degrees in an online, asynchronous format. This program incorporates experiential learning and Prior Learning Assessment to capture lived experiences as credit towards degrees.
