Biography

Katie Stutts is an Academic Success Coach at the University of Tennessee Southern, where she supports students through academic advising, career development, and connection to campus resources. She works closely with students to identify strengths, navigate challenges, and develop strategies that will allow students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Katie is particularly passionate about fostering meaningful relationships and encouraging students to become actively engaged in the campus community.

Prior to joining UT Southern, Katie worked in the Sheffield City School system in Sheffield, Alabama as a Co-Coordinator for a school-based mentoring program that provided individualized support and services to students experiencing various challenges. She also previously worked in the Admissions Office at the University of North Alabama, where she supported orientation, recruitment, and enrollment initiatives, as well as the Office of First-Year Initiatives and Retention.

A Florence, Alabama native, Katie earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from the University of North Alabama. Her professional experiences reflect her passion for student engagement, campus involvement, and building community. She is committed to creating supportive relationships between students and colleagues, as well as helping students recognize their full potential so they can thrive throughout their college experience.
